In mortgage news – notices of default on mortgages reached another historical high last year as foreclosures on mortgages surged. Most of the foreclosures came from the largest states like California and Florida. Those had about 22 percent of all mortgages and approximately 31 percent of new foreclosures… Arizona, Michigan, Nevada and Ohio had a lot of foreclosures as well.
